I'm working on a view that uses an index on a subquery. The index is on a column which is the MIN(a, b). Is there any way I can make sure that the selectivity of the view is greater than that of the query?

To study the protective effect of anethum graveolens root extract (AGRE) on intestinal epithelial cells (IECs) in sepsis rat. Sepsis was induced by cecal ligation and puncture (CLP) in rats, and were given AGRE or ciprofloxacin for 3 consecutive days. Blood was collected for detection of the levels of TNF-α, IL-6, and IL-1β; and the expression of PPARγ and NF-κB in the intestine was determined by Western blot. The activity of PPARγ was detected by reporter gene assay. Compared with CLP group, AGRE and ciprofloxacin could significantly inhibit the release of TNF-α, IL-6 and IL-1β and the expression of PPARγ in the intestine of sepsis rat, and had no obvious effect on the NF-κB activity in the intestine. In addition, AGRE could significantly increase the activity of PPARγ by promoting the phosphorylation of PPARγ, which was similar to the effect of ciprofloxacin.
