RDBMS Design without ACID
For my web project I need to use a relational database to store my data and session. Since I need to store sessions I don't want to use SQLite (v3.x is not supported by GWT). My data will not change that often so I don't want to use SQLite and migrate data on each change.
I heard that PostgreSQL is not as fast as SQLite, but I only need a very limited schema (maybe 1 table, maybe 10, maybe 500).
Is it OK to use RDBMS like PostgreSQL and store session in that table?

Is it a good idea to use RDBMS like PostgreSQL, store my data in this database and store session in this database (only session, don't need to use the data). I only need very few tables with hundreds of rows.

Use PostgreSQL, it's a good choice. I'm not familiar with SQLite's support, but if it's limited to a few tables, I'm guessing you can make do without ACID. If you're not using SQLite for any other things, you could store your session in a table with the obvious constraints of not being updated every 15 minutes or so.
The alternative, of course, is to use some non-RDBMS. You could use Redis or Memcached, for example, and work with sessions as a hash of key and value pairs. You could also use Java's own HTTP session store, or something like it.
